New Business Assistance with NEIS assists eligible people over 18 to kick-start their business by providing access to training in small business management, business advice, and five business mentor sessions, all for free! Plus, if eligible:

9 months of NEIS income support
6 months of rental assistance (residential only)

Holmesglen has delivered NEIS training and support for over 20 years.

We also run a free, shorter, introductory program if you are unsure about whether having a business is suitable for you.

Q Am I eligible?

If you are working on average less than 15 hours per week, you are probably eligible for free help to design and start your business, including mentoring services. If you are currently receiving a Centrelink benefit or pension payment, you are also most likely eligible for the full support offered.

Q Where do programs take place?

Programs are available in Glen Waverley, and from time to time in Lilydale, with some shorter programs run in the Hills area. Please contact us to find out more. We also have other flexible delivery options if you cannot always attend in person.

Q How can I find out more?

We hold information sessions every week in multiple locations. Initially, you can watch the video on our website or Facebook, or visit our website and view the video, and book into a face to face session with one of our Area-based Business Managers. Or you can just call us up and ask to speak to a Business Manager.
