Le Bop Modern Jive brings social dancing to the hills! Our dances are easy to learn and a great workout. Best of all, Le Bop can be danced to many types of music, with many different dance partners, so you’ll never be bored!

We teach beginner classes Fridays nights and it’s only $19.50 for the whole night, or first timers can purchase a discounted 6 class pass for $65!

Where: St Thomas More Hall, Reynolds Lane, Belgrave (to the rear of the church, across the parking lot from the primary school.)

When: 7:30PM – 10:30PM

All classes are casual, so turn up when it suits you – but check our socials for any classes not running.

Q Do I need to bring a partner?

No - Le Bop is a social dance class, so while of course you are welcome to bring a friend (or more!), partners are not required. Le Bop has always been a social hub; where people have met and made friends, life partners, dance partners, business partners and above all augmented their lives with the joy that dance brings.

Super fun experience!

I was a bit nervous about attending a dance class at first, especially considering that my lack of coordination is legendary and I’m not really one to dance unless it involves a few drinks and my only two perfected dance moves (up and down cramped concert pogo or, if I have the room, right arm robot maneuver). My hesitation kicked up a notch when I realised that we would be taking turns dancing with everyone, but it was such a fantastic night that my partner and I each bought a casual class pass and have been back every week since! The instructors were great and made even the most complicated looking steps (to a beginner!) easy to follow. Big takeaways – the only form of exercise that I have ever done for three hours all while smiling and laughing, wholeheartedly recommended.
